     Mahindra Verito is available in two different types of engines- 1.4 L and 1.5 L. The All new Mahindra Verito with 1.4 L engine comes in 3 models with Manual Transmission. The SOHC engine available in 1.4 L is very fuel efficient and delivers hassle-free performance with a Maximum Power of 75 hp at 5500 rpm and a Maximum Torque of 110 Nm at 3000 rpm.

The ARAI (Automotive Research Association of India) report also says that Chevrolet Cruze offers 18.3kmpl mileage.

RENAULT KOLEOS

Renault Koleos Review

   The Renault Koleos is the first crossover vehicle produced by Renault; it is designed by Renault and developed by Nissan Motors. This compact SUV was displayed as a concept car at the 2006 Mondial de l'Automobile in Paris; however its very first concept was showcased in the media in the year 2000. The body built is based on the Renault Egeus and Renault Koleos concept vehicles. The company had displayed Renault Fluence and Renult Koleos at the Delhi Auto Expo 2010 and announced to launch these vehicles in 2011; the former will be followed by the later.

Renault Koleos Description :

    The Renault Koleos will be powered by a 2.0 litre diesel engine. The 2.0 litre, dCi, 1998cc, Euro-4, common rail diesel engine churns out top power of 148 bhp and a higher bhp of 173 with another trim. The engine is expected to be coupled with a 6 speed manual transmission  that results in greater acceleration i.e. 10.4 seconds (148 bhp engine) and 9.8 seconds for 173 bhp motor; the former can be sped up to 190 kmph and the latter allows you to touch highest speed of 200 kmph. The Renault Koleos is reported to be available in both 4X2 or 4X4 versions.

    The official website of Renault India says that the upcoming Renault Koleos would be a multi-tasker that will have comfort of a sedan, spacious as MPV and attributes of a 4x4 version. The Renault design team did fairly great efforts to give it a completely new look and the Nissan engineers turned it lovable machine. The front fascia of the premium compact SUV- Renault Koleos- looks aggressive with front split grille, middle grille and lower grille surrounded by tough skid plates. The headlamps and fog lamps do have distinctive designs that make it new face in the segment. The side view has got body colour rear view mirrors and door handles. The rear side has got very special split opening tail gate that allows to load over one meter wide objects in the trunk. Other rear side features are large taillights, rear spoiler with high stop lamp, compact antenna, rear wiper on wider wind shield and three reflectors as well.

      The Renault Koleos interior looks are much better than the outside; it has spacious cabin, funky dashboard and well thought seating arrangement. The cabin comes with much needed interior comfort features. The car has soft-touch material at the dash; AC vents are placed at the dashboard in a stylish way, they find their place at the top while the AC controls and audio controls are placed very low at the centre dash that might trouble the driver when operating. The steering wheel of the Renault Koleos is tilt and reach adjustable, and comes with three spokes and chrome inserts. It also offers ample storage area in the form of large glovebox, underfloor compartments, folding tray tables, etc. The rear seats row can be folded flat that increases cargo capacity up to 1,340 litre. However, it is reported that the rear seat row is not comfortable in terms of legroom. The interior will wear leather upholstery.

   The upcoming Renault Koleos is claimed to be loaded with most of the standard a few advanced safety features including Anti-lock Braking system with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution system (EBD) with Brake Assist, airbags, front fog lamps, all disc brakes, parking sensors, etc.

Mileage, Average and Fuel Economy

   The much awaited Renault compact SUV- Renault Koleos is reported to be launched in India with a 2.0 litre diesel powerplant. There are two engine trims offered with Koleos i.e. a 2.0 litre, 148 bhp and a 2.0 litre, 173 bhp. Both the engines are expected to be coupled with 6 speed manual transmission. With the base 148 bhp engine, you can achieve a top speed of 190 kmph and 200 kmph with the 173 bhp diesel engine. The engines are developed to deliver higher fuel efficiency and engine power.

Exterior Appearance

    The Renault Koleos is the first crossover or a compact SUV from the company and the auto firm has put their best effort to give it a distinctive and functional design job. Renault has expertise in giving car designs while its partner Nissan has developed the car carrying innovative design work from Renault. The India bound Renault Koleos is reported to be targeted towards urban audience as it has a crossover type body that looks and performs similar to an SUV  alongwith bearing a lot of off road capabilities.

      The Renault Koleos as said earlier is a compact SUV car that looks like an SUV, It provides ample storage room inside the cabin. The car has a sporty stance that is visible from its front and rear side view. The front view of the Renault Koleos comes with distinctive headlamps, three slot grilles and oval shape front fog lamps. The body colour bumper houses fog lamps and skid plate that covers the lower grille. It has got body colour rear view mirrors; it has black shade lower panel as well. The door handles also match to the body colour. The side view of the car resembles a true SUV with its wide wheelarches and roof rails.

    The rear end of the Renault Koleos carries a bulge out design; the tail lamps cover a bit of tail gate and the rest of it sits on the side. The Koleos sports a high stop brake lamp at the rear spoiler and three reflectors at the bumper, it also consists of chrome skid plate as well. The tail gate of the Renault Koleos is split open type that allows the user to load more than one meter wide articles.

Interior Appearance

   The Renault Koleos is expected to be introduced here with eye-catching  and functional interior features. The car would have leather upholstery and chrome inserts in the front cabin at various parts. There are four AC vents with chrome surrounding. These are fitted in such a way that the vents face the occupants and ensure better air flow. The instrumentation of the Renault Koleos has been positioned behind the steering wheel; it has three round dials and all get chrome rings, you can easily make out the reading of the meters. A major disappointment in the dashboard is placing of the audio and AC controls; they are fitted too low at the centre dash and it may become difficult to reach the cluster.

   The three spoke steering wheel of the Renault Koleos is wrapped in leather; it has chrome inserts at the top as well. The front cabin is spacious and allows comfortable seating for the driver and the co-driver. There is a plenty of storage space in the cabin wherein you can put small things and heavy and large luggage in the cargo area which can be further increased by folding down the rear seats.

     The India bound Renault Koleos is reported to be equipped with BOSE stereo that would support CD/MP3 media; the controls of the Audio in the overseas version are placed below the standard practice that might trouble the driver to operate it without leaning towards it, that ultimately distracts the driver's attention on road. The Renault Koleos will also have manual AC in the base version and automatic AC in the top-end model.

BMW X6 Description :

    One of the variant of BMW X6 comes loaded with 4395cc, 8-cylinder V petrol engine with four-valve technology. The powertrain of the car efficiently produces a peak power of 400 hp at 5500 to 6400 rpm and churns a peak toque figures of 600 Nm at 1750-4500 rpm. The top speed of the car is 250 (electronically limited) km/h and it shows its worth when reaches 0-100 km/h sprint in just 5.4 seconds. While BMW X6 is powered by a 2993cc, 6 cylinder V diesel engine with four-valve technology. It's smart mill generates a maximum power of 235 hp-more than double of xDrive50i- at 4,000 rpm and belts out 520 Nm of top torque at 2000 to 2750 rpm. This innovation of BMW has a peak speed of 220 km/h and touches the 0-100 km/h sprint in mere 8.0 seconds.

    Whereas the top end variant of BMW X6, is equipped with a 4.4 litre TwinPower Turbo engine with peak power of 408 Kw at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 680 Nm at 1,500 to 5,650 rpm. This is in fact the faster and better in terms of acceleration as it achieves the 0-60 km/h sprint in only 4.7 seconds. The vehicles in christened as BMW X6 M which is the first all-wheel drive product in xDrive family having the 'M' label.

     BMW X6 xDrive50i has a bigger engine that is a 4395cc, 8-cylinder V petrol engine with four-valve technology. The bigger cc petrol engine pumps out awesome power of 400 bhp at 5,500 to 6,400 rpm and generates a maximum torque of 600 Nm at 1,750-4,500 rpm that is also amazing. With the help of master technology and powertrain the machine gives 6 to 7 kmpl of standard mileage.

    On the other hand, the diesel version of BMW X6 is fitted with a 2993cc, 6 cylinder V engine with four-valve technology . This unique engine of the company manages to produce a peak power of 235 hp at 4,000 rpm and churns 520 Nm of peak torque figures at 2,000 to 2,750 rpm. Both the power and torque figures of the vehicles are less than its petrol operated vehicle. According to the company, it gives 10 kmpl of fuel economy.

    Now coming on the latest vehicle in the X6 series, BMW X6 M, which is loaded with 4.4 litre TwinPower Turbo engine.
